This week, Grade 3 hosted the ‘How the World Works’ Science Fair. The main ideas from this 6-week unit were to explore the different states of matter (solids, liquids and gasses) and how they can change.

On Friday, May 28th, courage and dedication filled the stage as a large audience of students, teachers, and parents was treated to the delights of the 2021 Elementary Talent Show.
97 Grade 5 students have worked together to design and create an installation artwork on the walls in Mr Johnson, the elementary principal’s office.
The transition from PYP to MYP can be a big one for SSIS students, as is for anyone moving from Primary into the big world of Secondary.
On Thursday 5th May, students across SSIS celebrated mathematics and World Maths Day. A central part of this celebration was our participation in a global math challenge on the online Mathletics platform.
On Friday 30th April, the Early Years students at SSIS, their parents and teachers took part in our annual sports day.
Finally, April 19 arrived and Earth Week began! With each day of Earth Week themed for plants, animals or people, K4E offered a range of daily lunchtime activities for the community to join.
Grade 1's latest Unit of Inquiry has been Sharing the Planet. The focus has been on understanding the impact that humans have on the environment.
The coordination of this event is a testament to how well our school community of teachers, parents, and students work together.
It will soon be time to celebrate Chinese New Year and with it the beginning of the Second Semester. We have been working hard on a number of exciting and important Second Semester initiatives that will support Elementary students and families.
