SSIS students in the Class of 2022 have continued to receive more offers from universities and colleges across the world. Some of the most recent offers received are from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), UCL (University College London), King’s College London, University College Cork, McGill University, University of British Columbia, Keio University, UCSD (University of California, San Diego), Boston University, and more.

Many Dutch universities released their outcomes in mid-April and we have acceptances into the University of Groningen, Vrije University Amsterdam, Tilburg University, Maastricht University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Eindhoven University of Technology, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and The Hague University of Applied Sciences. This is the most applications we’ve had to the Netherlands in a few years and it’s great to see students exploring the many quality programs on offer in that country.

One of our students was thrilled to receive an offer to study biology at KAIST, an institution renowned for its rigorous programs and cutting-edge research. It’s always wonderful to see our graduates aspiring to study in such innovative institutions. It was also great for one of students to receive an offer to study medicine at University College Cork in Ireland. With such limited places for medicine and therefore fierce competition, this is an impressive achievement.

Several of our students are still applying to universities in Australia and Europe, and of course many of our Korean students will apply to Korean universities post-graduation. For most students though, now comes the hard part of deciding which offer to accept. “I have a student who is very torn between UCL and McGill, so I have put her in touch with one of our graduates who is a current student at UCL and happy to talk about her experiences there. It’s a challenging decision for her to make!”, shared Ms. Watson, College Counselling Coordinator.

Our counsellors have also been working with graduates from the Class of 2021 who took a gap year, are doing national service or chosen to transfer programs. One of these students will be studying motorsports engineering at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK next year and another will be studying economics at the highly selective London School of Economics. Yet another of our graduates who is currently doing national service in Singapore was accepted to study accountancy and computer science at Singapore Management University and has been offered a full-ride scholarship!

Our students have shown incredible effort and worked hard to achieve their goals during high school. It’s always exciting to see them ready to embark on this next chapter in their lives.

As of Apr 29th, SSIS’ graduating class has received 83 offers across 7 different countries. Below we provide a list of these outstanding acceptances organized by region:
