Chicago - A Tremendous Success

The musical “Chicago” was a tremendous success. From Dec 2 to Dec 4, the SSIS secondary cast and crew have presented three wonderful shows on 3 consecutive days. More than 600 audiences were here at SSIS to see for themselves how talented and amazing our students are! The show was truly exceptional.

Chicago was a unique challenge in a lot of ways. The dance, the complex lyrics, and the lack of down time during performance are all new to our student performers. The students rose to the occasion and maintained the high standard of performance.

“We couldn’t be happier with how well the students performed last week. Each show was better than the last, with a truly exceptional closing night to cap off a really intense rehearsal period. We ask a lot of our student actors, and they exceeded my expectations in what I feel is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and hard work” , said Kimberly Jones, Cast Supervisor and Director.

The show absolutely would not have been possible without the help of many people. Thanks to the hard work of the student designers, technicians, lighting and sound designers, and all the costume technicians who helped run the show backstage and worked together to create such wonderful productions.
