Last Friday, SSIS's grades 10 and 11 students participated in the CIS University Exploration Day, a virtual college fair attended by approximately 80 universities.
During the event, students and parents joined live video presentations where they were able to interact with admissions staff from each of the contributing schools and ask questions. Students could also access resources in the universities' virtual booths, such as application information and pre-recorded presentations. The participating universities represented the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the UK, and included schools such as the University of Cambridge, University of Toronto, Erasmus University Rotterdam, University of Richmond, Hong Kong University, and many more.
Friday's virtual college fair provided an excellent platform for students to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and connect individually with dozens of universities from all over the world. The College Counselling Team strives to continue providing students opportunities to connect meaningfully with universities, and we look forward to supporting SSIS students' participation in another college fair, whether in-person or virtual, next year!
