25 years logo

Our school has come a long way over the past 25 years, with a strong focus on personal rigor, principled behavior and open-mindedness. With these attributes we have cultivated an environment of excellence in academics.

As an IB World School our curriculum is centered around the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) frameworks. We nurture and guide our students to be inquires and thinkers, always asking that next question. We encourage them to take risks, to not be afraid of failing or trying something new. We show them how to be caring and open-minded, developing the next generation of global citizens to go out and make the world a better place. And we, along with them, reflect on what could be better, stronger and greater.

Personalized learning is the core of the SSIS curriculum. We place a strong focus on each student, individually guiding and developing their unique strengths and passions. Our students develop into rigorous, life-long learners, striving to be the best version of themselves.

School should not be a chore. School should be a happy place to learn and grow. At SSIS we believe that every student should have the opportunity to learn and grow in the best environment possible. It is when students are engaged that they learn best and are encouraged to keep going. Our halls and classrooms reflect this with laughter, smiles and joy as we strive to inspire our students to acquire their own unique love of learning every day.

At SSIS we are proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the IB curriculum from Nursery to Grade 12.

The IB is a highly respected programme of international education that develops the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

At SSIS students learn how to learn. Students are able to take responsibility for their own learning and are encouraged to try different approaches to learning.

We help students to:

  • ask challenging questions
  • think critically
  • develop research skills proven to help them in higher education.

We encourage students to be active in their communities and to take their learning beyond academic study.
