Arts
The Arts Department at SSIS offers a comprehensive program that includes visual art, music, dance, and drama. Our program is designed to develop creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression among students from their early years to grade 12.
Visual Art
Visual art is an essential component of our program, and students are taught various drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art techniques. They are encouraged to experiment with different media and styles and express their ideas through artwork.
Music
In music, students are exposed to various genres and styles and learn to play instruments and sing. Our program focuses on developing technical skills, music theory, and performance skills. Students can perform in concerts, recitals, and other events throughout the year.
Drama
Drama is a key component of our program; students learn the basics of acting, improvisation, and stagecraft. Students are encouraged to explore different characters, emotions, and themes and to work collaboratively on productions. Our drama program is designed to develop confidence, communication skills, and creativity.

SSIS Elementary School Production Shines with "Honk! Jr."
This year, the SSIS Elementary School captivated audiences with its delightful production of Honk! Jr., an adaptation of The Ugly Duckling. Over 70 enthusiastic students from Grades 2-5 participated, presenting two wonderful shows on June 5 and June 6.

Our 2024 high school production of “Little Shop of Horrors”, held from December 5 to 7, has been a tremendous success. This show represents a significant undertaking, being one of the most musically complex pieces we’ve ever staged.
