SSIS offers a safe learning environment for children and adults, where children feel free to question their learning, and are encouraged to challenge their surroundings. Visual art is an essential component of our program, and students are taught various drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art techniques. They are encouraged to experiment with different media and styles and express their ideas through artwork.
In music, students are exposed to various genres and styles and learn to play instruments and sing. Our program focuses on developing technical skills, music theory, and performance skills. Students can perform in concerts, recitals, and other events throughout the year.
Drama is a key component of our program; students learn the basics of acting, improvisation, and stagecraft. Students are encouraged to explore different characters, emotions, and themes and to work collaboratively on productions. Our drama program is designed to develop confidence, communication skills, and creativity.
The Arts Department at our SSIS is committed to providing a comprehensive and engaging program that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression. The arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education. We are dedicated to helping our students develop their talents and reach their full potential.

The SSIS Winter Concert Series delighted attendees on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights with two enchanting performances.
Our 2024 high school production of “Little Shop of Horrors”, held from December 5 to 7, has been a tremendous success. This show represents a significant undertaking, being one of the most musically complex pieces we’ve ever staged.
On November 23rd, Battle of the Bands made an epic comeback at SSIS following the latent Covid years.

Students from the Senior School have come together to form a new ensemble, the SSIS Honor Ensemble. This group, composed of students from both the orchestra and band programs, recently showcased their talents at the Singapore National Day celebrations at the Kempinski Hotel.
From November 30th to December 2nd, the SSIS high school production of "The Grand Adventures of Pip & Mimsy" took center stage, leaving the audience in awe. The exceptional talent and dedication of the cast and crew brought this extraordinary performance to life.
