Dear Parents, Guardians, and members of the SSIS Community,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year and to share the fee structure for the upcoming academic year 2026–2027.
In light of the current economic situation, the School Board has met and carefully reviewed all considerations for the next academic year. In full appreciation of the commitment, trust, and partnership demonstrated by our parent community, the Board has decided that there will be no increase in school fees for the 2026–2027 academic year.
For many members of our parent community who are active in the business world, we hope you will appreciate and understand how challenging this decision has been. Despite these challenges, the Board felt strongly that this decision reflects our sincere appreciation for the confidence you place in Suzhou Singapore International School and for the continued commitment you show to our community.
Enrolment:
We are also proud to share that SSIS remains the school of choice in Suzhou, as reflected in our current student enrolment of 924. Our strong, stable student numbers allow us to offer a broader, richer range of programs and subject choices across all levels of the school. As our community grows, our students benefit directly through increased academic pathways, co-curricular opportunities, and enhanced learning experiences that would not be possible without this scale and diversity.
Continued Growth and Projects:
We would also like to reassure you that the decision to maintain fees will not impact our ongoing and planned continuous improvement initiatives. The school will continue to move forward with its development plans, including enhancements to school infrastructure and learning environments, as we have consistently done each year. One of the major upcoming projects is the Early Childhood Centre, which will commence very soon, alongside other improvements across the campus.
Bus Fees Increase:
While school fees will remain unchanged, we would like to inform you that there will be an adjustment to bus fees for the next academic year. Bus fees will increase across different routes, with an average increase of approximately 5%. This adjustment is unavoidable due to rising operational and running costs for transportation services.
We hope this communication reflects our genuine appreciation for the support and dedication of our parent community. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership as we work together to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

值此新年之际，我谨向大家致以最诚挚的祝福，并正式公布2026-2027学年的学费结构。
关于学费：
鉴于当前的经济形势，学校董事会已召开会议，全面审议了下一学年的各项考量因素。为感谢各位家长长期以来对学校的支持与信任，董事会决定：2026-2027学年学费将维持不变。
我们深知，许多家长活跃于商界，相信大家能够理解并认同这一决定背后所需的审慎权衡。尽管面临诸多挑战，董事会仍坚信，这一决定正是我们对各位信任SSIS、持续投身社区建设所表达的诚挚谢意。
学生人数:
SSIS目前在校学生人数已达924人，这无疑是学校持续作为苏州地区首选学府的最佳印证。稳定而充足的学生规模使我们能够为各学段提供更广泛、更丰富的课程与学科选择。随着社区的发展壮大，学生将直接受益于更多元的学术路径、更丰富的课外活动项目以及更优质的学习体验——而这正是学校规模与多元性所带来的独特优势。
持续发展与建设项目：
我们在此郑重承诺，维持学费不变的决定，绝不会影响学校任何既定发展蓝图下的持续改进项目——无论是正在推进的，还是规划中的。学校将恪守承诺，继续落实各项年度发展项目，持续推进包括校园基础设施与学习环境在内的优化升级。其中一项重点项目——幼儿中心即将动工。此外，校园其它区域的升级改造工程也将同步开展。
校车费用调整：
在学费维持不变的同时，我们亦需向各位说明，下一学年的校车费用将有所调整。各线路校车费用均将上调，平均涨幅约为5%。此项调整是由于校车运营成本持续上升所致，实属不可避免。

현 경제 상황을 종합적으로 고려하여, 학교 이사회는 차기 학년도 운영과 관련된 모든 사항을 신중하게 검토하였습니다. 학부모님들께서 그동안 보내주신 신뢰와 협력, 그리고 학교 공동체에 대한 지속적인 헌신에 깊이 감사드리며, 이사회는 2026–2027학년도 학비를 인상하지 않기로 최종 결정하였음을 알려드립니다.
특히 기업 및 비즈니스 분야에서 활발히 활동하고 계신 학부모님들께서는 이번 결정이 얼마나 어려운 판단이었는지 충분히 공감해 주시리라 생각합니다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 이사회는 본 결정이 SSIS에 보내주시는 학부모님들의 신뢰와 우리 공동체에 대한 지속적인 헌신에 대한 진심 어린 감사의 표현이라고 판단하였습니다.
학생 등록 현황:
SSIS는 현재 재학생 924명을 유지하며, 쑤저우 지역에서 지속적으로 높은 신뢰를 받는 학교로 자리매김하고 있음을 자랑스럽게 말씀드립니다. 안정적인 학생 수는 전 학년에 걸쳐 보다 다양하고 심화된 교육과정과 과목 선택을 제공할 수 있는 기반이 되며, 이를 통해 학생들은 학문적 진로 선택의 폭 확대, 비교과 활동 기회의 증대, 그리고 더욱 질 높은 학습 경험을 누릴 수 있습니다.
지속적인 성장 및 주요 개발 사업:
학비 동결 결정은 현재 진행 중이거나 계획된 학교의 중·장기 발전 계획 및 지속적 개선 사업에 어떠한 영향도 미치지 않을 것입니다. 본교는 매년 지속적으로 추진해 온 바와 같이, 교육 시설과 학습 환경의 개선을 포함한 발전 계획을 차질 없이 이행할 예정입니다. 특히, 조만간 착공 예정인 유아 교육 센터 건립을 비롯하여 캠퍼스 전반에 걸친 다양한 개선 사업이 순차적으로 진행될 예정입니다.
통학버스 요금 인상 안내:
한편, 학비는 동결되나, 다음 학년도부터 통학버스 이용 요금이 조정될 예정입니다. 노선별로 인상 폭에는 차이가 있으나, 평균적으로 약 5% 내외의 인상이 예정되어 있으며, 이는 교통 서비스 운영 및 유지 비용 상승에 따른 불가피한 조정임을 양해 부탁드립니다.
